Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day Shift
Salary: Hourly rate to be negotiated dependant on experience
Start Date: November, 2009
(6 to 8 week Training period required out of state)
Requirements:
Education:
• Grade 12 graduate
• Vocational Marine Mechanical pre-apprenticeship or Manufacture's Certificates of Competence
Skills:
• Read engineering drawings and Government specifications
• Work well in a team, as well as independently
• Capable of problem solving and decision making
• Installing outboard motors onto Rigid Hull Inflatable boats
• Installing diesel inboards into Rigid Hull Inflatable boats
(Cummins/Yanmar/Volvo)
• Sea trial of boats will require competent operation of boats up to 9 meters (30 feet)
Other requirements:
• At least 3 years experience as Marine Engine Installer
• ABYC certification preferred
• Boat operator license for local jurisdiction
• Must have basic hand tools
• Capability to lead a small production team
• Capability to communicate to Engineering Team
• Verbal and written skills necessary
• US citizen with valid passport
• Some US and International traveling required
• Valid driver license
• Twisting, bending, working in confine space required
