Fabulous UNIQUE colorful expressionistic painting of two women chatting over coffee/tea - with fauvism elements. One woman in the background, facing the viewer, is casually sitting back with a cup in her Egon Schiele-like hand while the woman in the foreground is turned with only her hand, partial back, side & hair visible.
Style is unique as there appear to be different types of paint and possibly marker used to create this VERY COLORFUL piece of art. It bears some Matisse qualities and fauvist elements. The almost square piece will certainly draw attention not only becaus of the wonderful bright colors but also the overall large full of life feel....you can imagine these two ladies casually sitting and talking about anything and everything over a cup of tea or java. Although you don't see their faces, the mood is one of candor and familiarily between the women and even one of freedom by the body language of the lady in green. She looks confident and frank despite only being able to see a portion of her. Overall the painting exudes confidence & strength.
