FIRST, if you see this listing, we still have at least one of them. I will remove it when sold. No need to ask.
After some research and a few helpful "good samaritans" we have determined these are ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SILVER CANDELABRAS, BY BARKER ELLIS made around 1940.
An ornate pair of early 20th century silver plate candlesticks by Barker-Ellis, Birmingham, England, who made candelabras like this from 1801-1992
Detailed floral repousse, retaining original center finial, iron weighted bases, beautiful patina to silver.
IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
HEAVYWEIGHT SILVERPLATED CANDLEABRAS
Each is 13 1/2" wide x 18" tall
Each weighs 6lbs 14oz
The little square pieces on the tops of each candle holder come off for cleaning.
They were recently touched up with silver polish but will still need another freshening up/polishing, with some silver polish. These will polish up really well and with a bit of polish these candelabras are spectacular and will dress up any mantle or your holiday dining room table.
There are no marks on them with a date. Barker Ellis made these sometime between 1801 and the late 70's. Others who have viewed them traced them to around 1940.
They are heavy candelabras, sold AS IS. We need to find them a good home before we move.
$325 CASH (FIRM) TAKES BOTH HOME!
(No Zelle, no paypal, no checks) We prefer not to sell them individually.
These are part of our moving sale, selling most everything we own in preparation for our move to France, in 2 mos.
