Clementine Hunter (pronounced Clementeen) (late December 1886 or early January 1887 – January 1, 1988) was a self-taught black folk artist from the Cane River region of Louisiana.

HAND PAINTED HISTORICAL DEPICTION: Clementine captured the work of threshing the trees and picking up the pecans that fell from the trees as a teenager hanging upside down to shake the trees so the pecans could fall to the ground for the ladies to pick up and place in their buckets.
DIMENSION: 10" x 10" x 1" The plantation had large pecan orchards, and in this scene Clementine captured the work of threshing the trees and picking up the pecans that fell from the trees. Clementine depicts a teenager hanging upside down to shake the trees so the pecans could fall to the ground for the ladies to pick up and place in their buckets.I would call this a Reproduction plate
