20 and 40ft Non-Operational Refrigerated Shipping Containers
These 20 or 40-foot shipping containers were previously used as Refrigerated Containers
but the refrigeration units have been removed, leaving them as well-insulated boxes ready
for repurposing. With the refrigeration machinery gone, the back wall where the unit was
mounted has an open space that lends itself to customization.
The benefits of using Insulated Containers (Non-Working Reefers)
1. Fully Working Reefer Containers are made of Solid Aluminum Floors and Stainless-Steel
interior and Exterior walls, with a strong insulation system capable of retaining cold temperatures
up to -10 to -20 degrees Fahrenheit constantly. Again, that is for a Fully Working Refrigerated unit
2. Insulated containers are created to protect your goods, products and stock from the exterior
and keep them safe.
3. Insulated containers (Non-Working Reefers) are ideal storage boxes with no extreme
change in temperature. Good for storing documents, household items, furniture and valuable goods,
machinery. They can also be converted into work stations and or living space.
4. Insulated Storage Containers Are Better for Long Term Storage.
Seal off the back wall completely with a metal panel made of steel, aluminum etc. to create a fully enclosed, thermally efficient storage space
Or Install a wooden wall professionally framed with proper insulation and mount an air
conditioner unit, exterior access door, sliding door, roll up door or window to create climate-controlled space
Leave part of the back wall open but install reinforcing frames or selective panels to maintain
structural integrity for uses not requiring a full seal
The thick insulating properties of these containers helps regulate interior temperatures. Their durable Stainless-Steel wall and ceiling construction, plus solid aluminum floors combined with the customizable rear opening allows buyers to adapt them to needs ranging from storage, offices to housing."
