Gateway Greens Community Association currently seeks both full and part time Access Control Team Officers for our prestigious Community in the Gateway section of Fort Myers.
The ideal candidate for the Access Control Team Officer position is excellent with our Community and its visitors and has an impressive ability to communicate. This is a great opportunity to join a local, unique and energetic TEAM that is established by the Community; a dynamic high-powered TEAM focused on ensuring the Communities’ rules are observed while delivering exceptional, professional service.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring each vehicle entering the Community does so in accordance with Association guidelines, regulations and/or policy and procedure.
Rover vehicle patrol of the Community observing vehicular traffic and parking as well as noting potential safety concerns and reporting same.
Observe and report suspicious activities and persons.
Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)
Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring emergency assistance.

Requirements for this position include the following:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
Driver history must meet insurance standards.
As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol
CPR/AED certification (preferred).
Must display exceptional communication and ‘Community Service’ skills.
Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, computer technologies in our Gate Houses and Rover Vehicle.
Essential Physical and Mental Functions
Stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet, sand, soil, grass).
Sit, operate, exit and enter motor vehicle in performance of duties.
Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties.
Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching, handling, grasping, or other physical movements while using phone, notepad, writing reports, computer equipment and other administrative tasks.
Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with residents, public and co-workers, view Access Control monitors; includes hand/eye coordination.
Read, understand and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with resident/public/co-workers, giving and receiving instructions, using phones.
Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat.
Constant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignments.
Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of residents, co-workers and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
Must be able to frequently prepare written reports, logs and documentation/forms in neat, legible handwriting.
Must possess or have the ability to attain computer skills, to include internet, e-mail, Microsoft Office, and specific Access Control systems technology.
Must be able to read and understand all operating policies, procedures, Post Orders, directives and other instructions.
Must be able to handle pressure of working with high volume resident, visitor, and contractor vehicle traffic and communications.
