At United Mechanical we offer commercial and institutional HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services throughout the entire Southwest Florida region. Our areas of expertise range from hospital/healthcare, school systems & universities, hospitality, and commercial facilities.

As a result of continued growth and success, we are looking for an experienced Plumbing Working Supervisor with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience for projects primarily in the Lee, Collier, and Charlotte County area. This is a full-time position with some overtime. We are growing and expanding and are looking for professional, career minded people. We are looking for a skilled leader, who can work in a team setting, take pride in their workmanship, and maintains problem solving skills. In this position you will:
• Qualify for up to $2,000.00 signing bonus.
• Extremely competitive hourly wage for well qualified applicants.
• Perform complete commercial plumbing installations for Healthcare, Government, Educational and Industrial applications following company policies and manufacturer specifications
• Lead a team of plumbers for the installation of domestic water, Waste and Vent and Medical Gas systems.
• Determine the correct material needed for installation and order parts and supplies through the project management team.
• Ensure all daily paperwork needed for each job is accurately filled out
• Create and maintain a collaborative working relationship with Field Manager, Project Manager, and co-workers.

Our ideal candidates should have the following qualifications:
• Must have tools of the trade.
• Must be capable of running and supervising full working crews from mobilization to project completion.
• Assignment of daily and weekly tasks to team members.
• Attend all jobsite related meetings.
• Daily professional contact with General Contractors and communications with in-house management team.
• Review and authorize team member timecards, reports, and as-built documents.
• Ability to perform layout, material take-off and order materials.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and practices employed in the plumbing trade.
• Ability to understand and effectively carry out complex oral and written instructions (in English), including the interpretation of drawings, sketches, and blueprints.
• Ability to train other pipe fitters and helpers.
• Knowledge of equipment installation, rigging and setting.
• Responsible for job labor budget to ensure time, materials, equipment, and manpower are used wisely.
• Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
• Responsible for the safety of himself and all members of the team.
